I said it once, I'll say it again.....my reservation did NOT say Mariners so why should I say Mariners bumped me?
Most people, especially newbies, dont know that Jean has a seperate side/business so in all fairness, the title of the thread should remain the same and is not incorrect nor misleading.

Think about this...I cant run Joe Schmoe Beach Resort but list it online as Riu or The Caves now can I? so let me ask you all this....how is it that IF it is actually a seperate business that "Mariners" can keep using the name NBCC????????????????

    Luvjabad,

The Mariner's Negril Beach Club is a separate company from the Negril Beach Club Condos. If you read Sparky's post above, note the name of the resort and the phone number. His reservation was listed under NBCC, but if you check the phone number, it is NOT the NBCC but the Mariner's Negril Beach Club.

The booking company in Sparky's reservation has the resort name wrong. This can happen as it did in his case. These booking companies are there as a convenience, they do not usually have any first hand knowledge of the resorts. They are order takers. If you would, could you please provide the phone number of the resort in your booking as Sparky did? This may clear everything up for you as well as everyone else.

It can happen as it did I this case.. Your right, mariners represented themselves as NBCC, and the booking agent didn't know the difference.. Still, and however - they represented themselves as NBCC.. the person was told tthey were booking NBCC. they shouldn't have to google the Phone number to verify.. Why hasn't Jean filed a lawsuit for slander and damages caused by the misrepresentation? While I understand Jean may be a innocent victim, there is validity to the thread title.

The hotel you booked with was the property that was formerly known as Mariners and is now Negril Beach Club RESORT

The title of your thread is indeed misleading.... You said you booked through Expedia, which has no listing for Negril Beach Club CONDOS, but they do have a listing for Negril Beach Club RESORT.

Here is the listing for the property on Expedia: http://www.expedia.com/Negril-Hotels...-5bda52bbd089&

While it appears some people may be mislead and told that they are being booked in the Negril Beach Club Condos it looks like that was not the case with your booking even though the description says "Negril beach condo property" which is somewhat misleading.

Hope this clears up any confusion on the "Mariners" end of things.

Whew sorry I used Mariners I know that is the old name old habits die hard. It still says Mariners on the gate by the way. Its Negril beach club and Negril beach club condos two seperate businesses. Thats all i meant to say. Its very misleading. Sorry if I offended anyone. Not a newbie either.....
