LuvJaBad,

The NBCC and the Negril Beach Club Reosrt are on the same physical location on the beach. But yes, they are two completely separate business entities. They have their own set of rooms that each rents on the property. Each are responsible for their own rooms.

As mentioned, the NBCC is a timeshare coop. In vacation areas, timeshares can be found. Vacations buy a "time period" that they "own" for that room. They can rent it out or use it each year. The NBCC is the business that handles the rental for those those timeshare rooms as well as other rooms that they purchased. The Negril Beach Club Resort does not handle the timeshare units, the NBCC does.

They do not share the same office and you must check in to each resort in separate areas. They do share some of the facilities, but each pays its own share for the use as they are separate entities.

As mentioned, there is no listing on Expedia for the Negril Beach Club Condos. You could not have booked the NBCC through Expedia. The business you booked is called the Negril Beach Club Resort. Although the name Mariner's is still on the wall out front, they must have dropped the Mariner's name on Expedia. Regardless, the Negril Beach Club Condos did nothing wrong to you, they did not overbook your reservation and they did not change your reservation to the Caribbean Sunset.

The Negril Beach Club Resort did overbook your reservation and they did change your reservation to their own sister property the Caribbean Sunset.

Apparently you are confused at how the two businesses operate which is understandable because it is a very unusual relationship. But there is still no reason to blame the wrong business and once informed of this error, to continue to blame the wrong business. To blame the wrong business is extremely unfair and does nothing to warn future visitors about the problem you experienced.
