So, on the way in

I landed at Montego Bay about 20 min late.. The pilot apparently radioed to land and was told sorry we are doing repairs to the runway. It will be a while.. I had never heard that one before, but they did finish before too long and we landed without event.. Airport went smoothely, few miniutes for immigration, no checked bags was very nice, and customs waived me right through. Then my driver was waiting.. I was here. Finally.

So I tell him I would like to get a beer and some jerk, not in Mobay but dow the road at a roadside stand.. Past Lucia but before green island o the left side of the road we stopped and had some really good jerk chicken, we pressed on quick though, and when I reached the beach rd i was home.. Got checked in at th negril escape, they were all expecting me, I have been there so many times everyone knew my name.. Ok, now I was 'home'..

So out I go, taking a route taxi to Hilo to get some money, and then walked towards the roundabout.. I stopped and talked to the BBQ chef at 'cozy bar'. He was making some pork, and it was delicious.. Very very good flavor, but I will admit a bit fatty, but that's seems to be common. But very good. I kept walking and ended up and fries unliimited.. They make some good friess.. Fi sure.. Well I drank a few strtipes at a few random places walking back up west end rd.. Had a drink at de bar, stopped and had a 1/4 chicken at 3 dives, and I must say probably my least fav meal so far.. Great service, but chicken nothing special.. Anyways, it had been a long day, so after that I hoofed it back to the hotel, after a quick stop in the minimarts across by the escape.. That is a great store.. Nice people too.. Bed time round 10.. I was gonna sleep good tonite

So Sunday morning I got up, had some fresh pineapple and orange slices, some toast and a couple glassed of orange juice.. Exactly what I needed.. I was out the door to rent a scooter.. I was in a hurry to get that done so I could get to digicela and get internet.. So walked down to tykes and he was around back. I asked him about renting, and told him how long, and he gave me a greAt deal without a haggle.. So I paid him what he wanted and was off. Very smooth.. S I get down to digicela to find it closed on Sunday.. Duh, I should've known.. So rushed my iPad back to the hotel and grabbed my camera for the donkey races.. That was allot of fun.. my favorite jerk vendor was set up outside, blue dandy was at his finest, I got a 1/2 chicken with bread.. Yah mon.. Tons of locals and they rally had a great time.. In the early races the donlkeys didn't all cooperate, the the finals was pretty close.. Ice cream truck there.. All the likkle ones riding the rides.. Great time.. But made for kinda a long day it seemed, so I ate a beef tenderloin at sweet spice with the. Green peppers and onions.. Oh man was that good.. And a beer on the deck, and I went to bed at 10 again..lol

Today, I went to digicel and the politely told me they couldn't make my iPad work, without a second thought he sent me to lime, lime had no trouble.. But they didn't have a sim cutter, and I had forgotten mine so went back to the hotel to test it out.. It saw a signal and identified c&w service, but didn't work.. So I went back to lime, and she insisted the card was active, and it was, but there tech service department had me enter 'ppinternet' as my apn account and Bammo, I had 11 new emails, at nice 3G speed.. Back at the negril escape I only get edge service, but still nice speed works great.. I took the scooter back to tykes after that, and told him e headlight was aimed to high making night driving xddifficult to see potholes.. He let me take another scooter while he worked on it. So I went down to the beach and got some roadside chicken.. M fav not being open I stopped at a new place.. I made the mistake of ordering without asking price.. Rookie mistake? 1200ja for a 1/2chicken? Crazy.. But my mistake.. So i I didn't make a fuss. But did say thats a ton.. He agreed. Went back to tykes, he had my scooter ready.. Been chilling on the deck today, drinking a few and relaxing. Gonna get some rest now before capleton at bourbon beach tonite.. Yeah mon..

Well tykes fixed the headlight cause I can see much better t night now..I went down to the round about, and a soup lady asked me if id try her soup.. I asked her what kind, she replied chicken.. So I got some.. It was delicious, but I do believe it had feet in it . Then I got a qtr chicken from English there by scotia bank .. It was pretty good.. Then I made my way over to fries unlimited again.. You get allot of tasty fries for 100ja.. And finished it all of with a Devon house chocolate ice cream from the pastry place next door.. Great supper . It's ten, thinking about show at bourbon beach..

Capleton put on a great show. Seemed like he played a couple hrs, Lots of great songs.. Rode the scooter so I didn't drink too much.. Made it back to hotel and hit the hay, just getting back up.. Beres tonite.. I am thinking beach today.. We'll see

Went to beach, the Beres show, with a bunch of food mixed.. Beres put on a great show. American pie was skin to skin grind fest till early morning.. Guidance

How is Negril Escape treating you?

missed this post PGW, but the escape treated me EXCELLENT! I learn every time that there is no reason to look further.. You can't beat the location, price, views- even in garden view rooms I see the ocean.. Will post pics when I unpack the camera.. And the staff goes completely out of their way to be helpful.. I am going to contact Expedia and see about canceling my room at negril beach club next month, and rebook there.. Should've to begin with, and now the the horror stories about negril beach club- I am definitely switching if Expedia will cancel.. I also stress, you get best deal by haggling direct with the escape..
