Does anyone know for how long the Digicell sim card remains active if not used. Last week, I just bought a phone with sim card for $ 40 US or so and added minutes. I know the minutes will expire in 30 days; but what about the sim?

I have heard 3 months which might be true. I upped my phine right around the 3 month mark after my last return and called Digicel last week and they stated it is still active. If you have a T Mobile or At&T unlocked phone you can slide your SIM card into it and see if your card is working. I sent a text and placed a call to mine just to make sure all was good, which it was. Also, if you do not have an unlocked phone, you can unlock a phone for $.99 via ebay, just do a search. Just make sure it is a quad band phone that was used with either AT&T or T Mobile and all should be good.

Thanks, booger. I only have the one quad band phone. Hopefully the 3 months is true and I will be able to use the same number next reach in June.
