    Renting Cell Phone

Last time in Negril (2 years ago) I rented a cell phone for 10 days with unlimited int. minutes for 50 bucks. He dropped it off at our hotel desk and I hooked up with him at Ricks a couple of days later to pay him and left the phone at the front desk of our hotel when we left.
I saw his ad on here but cant find it now. Can anybody help me out?

for less than $50 you probably can get a cellie and international minutes.......
    other boardies will pipe in.........
my Digicel phone cost last reach for two weeks was approx $1000J's......
cause SeaStar Inn gave mi a free phone to use and mi added da minutes......

I think I spent 3000JMD on a new SIM card, International Plan and local minutes when I arrived in November. I only topped off the local minutes 1 additional time while here - the international plan has to be topped off once a month.

There's a few tour/airport drivers that include cell phones with round trip airport transportation...you only need to add the credit/minutes you require...a couple of drivers that I can think of...
Alfred can be reached at AlfredsTaxi@aol.com or Kenny can be reached at kennyjamaica@gmail.com.
There's other drivers that offer cell phone rentals....convenient!

$50 can get you your own phone as mentioned as well as 1000 international minutes and some local minutes. When you come back you just need to swap our your sim card since your old one will expire after some time. Or you can top it up to keep it active. Plus, you can use the contacts for drivers numbers, etc.

I know my cousin rented cellie from someone named O'neil and he dropped off at her hotel. Not sure if it is the same person I asked her but she does not remember the contact info. Maybe someone on here will know who O'neil is

I purchased a $50 Digicell phone in November at the Digicell store Marco suggests in his post above. The minutes are good for 30 days so it worked well for my return trip in December. Since my return in December and at the suggestion of Seveen, I top it off every month online at Digicell - just $5. Keeping this up will mean I won't lose my phone number so no new SIM card on future trips and when I land next, my phone will be full of minutes.
