I just won a free trip to HalfMoon !

This is an illegal scam - please do not ever send money for any "contest" that you won....

On Halfmoon's Facebook page they had an essay contest for a free trip for 2 (7days all inclusive and air) to Halfmoon in Rose Hall.

They just notified me that I won!!! I've never won anything in my whole life !!!
But of course there is a catch, I have to book by this Friday the 24th and I have to send them 12.5% for tax too, which is fine.
But I have to travel before 3/31.

My problem is I have to find someone to go that has a passport on short notice (my bf doesn't have one). I know it can be expedited but don't u
have to have your PP before booking airfare? They will be making airline resv for me as far as I understand.
My other problems are I am moving into new place in 2 weeks and I just got a little 10 week old puppy !!! I really gotta scramble to make this
work.

I'm gonna go regardless if someone comes or not, how could I not???

Has anyone ever been to Halfmoon ???? I see it's a 5 star resort, something I've never been to thats for sure!!!
It looks beautiful !!!

You don't need to have your passport before you book but the airline resevation name(s) have to match whats on the passport.

Thanks Kevin....& Jean, check out airfare prices for March, I think you'd have to fly here first then we go together.....I use Newark, Philly or JFK

Half moon is lovely..a huge place with 5 star service /accommodations and pretty beach..I stayed there for 2 nites with my friends who was a travel agent and doing a report about the place...Talk about luxury-and staff were down-to-earth friendly (no airs about them) but also very professional.. The place defintley raises the bar and its what I consider a more true-type of 5 star place (as opposed to many that claim that-and come in at something much less).

Doesn't look like there is enough time for your BF to get his passport unless he pays for expedited service which is pretty expensive. You probably wouldn't have any problem finding someone to go with you since it's free.
Don't you have some girlfriends or relatives that would like to go to Jamaica with you?
Of course you could just book it for two people and then just go yourself and say the other person couldn't make it. But what a waste.

Awesome! Congratulations! I'd pay the extra to have your bf's passport expedited. It can be done. I had to have one expedited many years ago and it only took 2 weeks.
