Bits and Pieces of our two week trip - Sunday Brunch at Lighthouse Inn

Charlie and I also enjoyed the lovely Sunday brunch at the Lighthouse Inn. We called the day before to confirm that we'd like to get picked up for their buffet.

Penny came and picked us up and Inga was busy getting things set up for the guests. Believe it or not I had my first that morning of- sour sop - sorrel - ackee and salt fish - Charlie had no idea it was ackee he was eating - he just kept saying how good those scrambled eggs were !!

We also had hot and tasty cream of wheat or porridge as they called it. Home made yogurt with fresh fruit - banana bread. Inga ensures all the ingredients are fresh and organic and keeps to the Jamaican traditions as much as possible.

To end the buffet the Jerk Chicken cooked slowly in the barrel while we dined on the rest of the goodies and listened to wonderful mento tunes sung by the Over-takers. Truly an enjoyable couple of hours.

How much does it cost for brunch?

Yeah, I was wondering about the cost and if one has to confirm within a certain amount of time,, ie. the day before, several hours before??? It looks absolutely wonderful and considering I am a definite cliff gal, I am really interested to find the answers. Thanks so much for posting and including such great pictures.

Sam I Am - The cost of the brunch is $ 18.00 per person and they do offer to pick you up and drop you back off. We had Penny drop us off at the top of the lane for Seastar on our way back as he was dropping some guests off at the beach. From Seastar it would be a nice Sunday morning stroll.

Yetta - The brunch starts around 11:00 until 1:00 - I called lighthouse directly and spoke with Penny to confirm pick up for 10:45 the day before - I find that if you call ahead too early that plans might change and then I'd have to call back and cancel

Currently it is also being web casted with Rob & Lisa, so extra bonus. Coffee was bountiful and Inga had made some banana cake to enjoy for dessert. I forgot to mention they will also make you an omlette of your choosing.
