Sometimes the stars align-Night of 100 candles

Selected a special evening for 100 candles at Ivans when the moon was full and our trip was nearing the end. I was terribly worried about a rainout. Superbowl was washed out and it rained the next PM as well. Crossing my fingers we hopped in the Catcha taxi and ascended into the west. Arriving at Catcha we were asked if we would like a drink at the bar first. With drinks in hand my wife surveyed the tables and spotted one all alone with special settings and flowers which she assumed were for a wedding dinner. (she didn't know that it was for her). Our hostess led us through the restaurant towards that table when I saw my wifes face glow and a smile form as she realised that it was our special table. Champagne was served and we were floating in a place where we hadn't been in many years. After 29 years of marriage and raising 2 great kids, this night transported us back to ourselves. A special menu personalised for us to keep, offered a dinner that lingered through a magnificent sunset(even by Negril standards) and then a gourgeous full moon rising over the trees. It was a night when all the stars aligned and food, the wine, the view, the service, the weather, and of course the company were perfect. The perfect night continued but I'll keep the rest for us! If I can dust off my scanner I will download the menu.

So you were there on Bob's Birthday? We were at Bentley's that night and went to Ivan's on Thursday. I know that look of surprise, it's worth just about anything, isn't it? It was a great sunset that night, popping through in that gap between the clouds and horizon. Kind of cool to see pictures of it from a different vantage point. Another smile crossed my face looking at your picture together, you look as happy as we were. And those chairs! they're so freakin' high! You're standing aren't you?!?
