    day trips from negril..

As newbies, the wife and i would like to do at least one full day trip from negril.
There seems to be an abundance of tours available on the 'net.
they all seem quite pricy in my humble opinion!!
Can some of you wonderful regulars provide the best company/person to use please?
We would like to visit the YS falls for sure, and maybe a couple of other things.
we also like to snorkel a bit ( we are not strong swimmers nor scuba divers!)
i have done many searches and am confused little with the pricing of many sites that offer day trips and their pricing in general. is it better to wait until we get there? (april 2012).
    many thanks in advance,

    Simon and cindy.

Jamaica Tours has an office in the Times Square Mall they are right in front at the road. I use them for each trip to YS Falls I love them I think last trip last year I paid around $75 and that includes Meal and YS admission fees as well as fun transport on a modern mini bus with an English speaking tour guide entire trip out and back as well, this office also offers combo tours that include YS I think its around $95 to get to Black River safari and Appleton rum but I personally do not like either of these and enjoying just spending the day at YS. YS Falls in my humble opinion the number thing to make sure you get to do when in Jamaica.
Your hotels also have reps they can hook you up on if ask.
If you have a second partial day to explore this same tour company goes to Mayfield Falls which is an interactive walk through a set of small stream freshwater falls, this is fun to experience and the whole trip hotel door back to door is only a couple of hours.

We loved YS Falls, and have been to Mayfield and Dunn's River. Ys is in my opinion the nicest. We did the Black River, Ys & Appleton's and it was a nice day, but a long bumpy ride. It depends where you are staying and what travel company you travel with, but see what they offer and if you don't like it, you could check out the Jamaica tours office. We did a trip with one of the private drivers that was previously advertised here on the forum, but since you are Newbies you are probably best to stick with a planned, organized tour. Ys is not as much of a work out as Mayfields might be. Enjoy whatever you choose.
