Very interesting reading for sure. I generally don't use Trip Advisor much but when I was googling something I came across this article:

which states:
Travelers to Negril should be prepared for-- unavoidable poverty, limited environmental controls: uncollected garbage alongside the roads, raw sewage pumped directly into the ocean, and enormous resorts that have been built as a hindrance too the long term ability of this area to self-sustain.



How can they get away with saying this? I'm more apt to believe Rob than TripAdvisor, but can't they get sued or something by making such statements?
