I have never stayed in what someone would consider a "5 Star" Hotel/Inn. But some are better than others in some ways. Which doesn't make them bad, just maybe something to be aware of. Never had a "bad" stay in Negril, some places could be better, but the good out weights the bad of a given location so far.
It's also nice to hear young people appreciate what their parents have shown them, not by just wealth and status...But a caring for people and culture. And thankful for what has been given. Not seen as much these days. You should be proud.
