This is an easy one for me. I avoid the beach and stay on the west end and when I am at the beach I'm hanging out at the bars. I don't want to hear people complain about my smoking while sitting at a bar. That would be a little hypocritical if you ask me. If I don't like the music or the scene...off to the next bar.

I'm easy going and in any situation, if asked nicely, I'll almost always comply with any reasonable requests or move along without any grievance. I can understand why a non-smoker wouldn't want to sit all day relaxing in the sun as a group of sun bathers chain smoked. But an occasional smoke by someone should be easily tolerated. I think the fear of second hand smoke in that situation (i.e. outdoors) is a bit over blown. There are carcinogens in any smoke, even the smoke from that jerk barrel and there is also some evidence that meat cooked over open flame also contains carcinogens. All that garbage that gets burned can also be very carcinogenic. If you’re that concerned then maybe you should be vacationing in a bubble instead.

It's very simple really....If you're in situation that you don't like just remove yourself from it. If you don't have that option then try and work it out with the offenders. If that doesn't work then plead your case to a higher authority. If that doesn't work then it's very likely you are the problem.
