Oh my goodness, I am loving the trip report! And I am friends with Delbert too, he offered to give me a lighthouse tour but I ended up getting an official tour from an older gentleman there who was also giving a tour to two NEET representatives, so I lucked out and got to go up in it, but afterwards I ran into Delbert and we walked up to Whoopie park and he even took some pictures of the cave next to whoopie's that were pretty cool. Here's Delbert and a few of the pics he took:

and I found the food at Rockhouse to be mediocre when there last November myself too, so can definitely relate!

lisapat- yep- when you call to make reservations, tell them you need to be picked up. The pickup is free and they request that you use the same driver on return and that does cost. Our return trip was $20 US- to RIU Tropical Bay. I highly recommend you get there for sunset. We are kicking ourselves that we didnt think of that before hand.

Enjoyed your trip report! Agree about the packing. Over the years, I pack less and less. Have even packed all my clothes in my carry-on (roll it up tight). Mostly take swimsuits and sundresses, mask and snorkel, couple pair of flip-flops, sunscreen, Extra-Strength Excedrin, minimal makeup, and I'm good to go. Don't do my hair there, just let it dry naturally. You would think with packing so minimally I could get this accomplished the morning I leave, but my bag is usually sitting by the door weeks before the trip.
