Trip #59 most of February

Day 1 part 1:
You know what sucks about morning flights... they're in the morning.
my flight in particular was departing at 7:30AM which meant i had to be up at 3... on a good day i go to sleep at 1AM pair that with the excitement of being a few hours away from being in negril and that equals no sleep.
The flight went smooth...aside from a wee bit of turbulence during the decent into montego bay.
lucky for me i didn't end up sitting next to an inquisitive kid or a crying baby.. i ended up next to ben... a flirt.. but it was all in good fun.. poor guy was only going to be in jamaica for 4 days.. in montego bay.. i told him next time he should try negril...
soon after that the person announced 30 minutes to arrival, and i began to have the worst pain in my stomach.. it was like a burning stabbing feeling.. but that went away as soon as we landed =)
Customs was a breeze. Barry G picked me up he was a little late but we landed a little bit early..so i guess he was on time. and i was home at last! the minute the jamaican air hit me.. i had to take off my cardigan.. it was hot.
i love the way the air in jamaica smells.
The car ride to negril was rather quiet, nothing eventful happened, we got to negril in record time 1hr.
check-in was bumpy.. they couldn't find my reservation card...but they knew i had a room soo.. they gave me the keys.
after i was all set in my room..we went to go get me a digicel phone..came back to the hotel.. i took a shower..changed and taxied it over to my grandmas house... gave her the goods i brought from home,upon her request (garilc,onions,and dove soap) and we sat and talked for an hour or so before she sent me to the store to pick up cock soup.
after i returned with the items, i went up to my aunts house.. where we sat in silence.. we're both quiet people.. then it started to rain..no.. pour for the next 3 hours..
unfortunately i didn't get to go to jam-can to see nacka.. i actually didnt make it past that little store... mostly because im avoiding Sam and the what happened questions..but theres always tomorrow..
once it stopped raining i had to make the deicision of canoe bar for the webcast or retreat to my hotel room... hotel room won..i didnt want to be stuck in the rain.. but the irony of that is that it was still raining over here... oh well glad i brought some rain to jamaica..
i hung out in my room for a while but then i realized i was starving... i hadn't had anything to eat all day... italian cafe won the battle because it was the closest thing open.. and their pizza is amazingly delicious especially with my first red stripe (light) of this vacation.. candle lit dinner for one please!

Day 1 Part 2:
Its ladies night!!!
after dinner i came back to my hotel and just chilled for a while... i knew i would be solo at jungle so i decided to drink a bit to calm my nerves..
Around 9 i stated getting ready, blasting a mix of old and new school reggae,i showered, did my hair and make-up and tried on 428764872 different options before settling on a pair of sailor inspired high-waisted shorts and a simple black cami.. i opted to not wear the heels i brought..
i was feeling cute, i'm not going to lie!
anyways i walked over to jungle around 1045, its a quick walk from HP.
when i got there not much was going on... so i ordered a Rum Punch...and them a Smirnoff ice... and then a Black ice.. and then a red stripe..
by that time the party was alive so i went upstairs thats when i ran into Pauly D..he and i have a love/hate "friendlationship", he didn't talk to me the whole night, but got mad because i didn't talk to him..
i left jungle around 3AM, it wasn't packed to begin with and around this time it was dying off..
on the walk back, a guy who i will call Ronnie/Ron stopped me, he introduced himself and said he was heading to Golden Sunset and since i was going to HP he walked with me. He was a nice guy, he didnt have an accent at first, but he told me he can talk either way.. at one point he mentioned that he was Pauly D's cousin.. so i figured he was cool peoples.. we got to Golden Sunset, shook hands and then i was off to HP.
Thats when Pauly rolled up on his motorcycle.. "A wah you a deal wid?" "Mi nuh like how yuh style me", then we got into this conversation about how last time when i left i didn't tell him and i didnt keep in touch and all that jazz.. he told me to call him, we hugged and i went back to my room..
i showered, and i went righhht to sleep.

Great start! Hopefully they gave you a decent room, I usually request 105 or 106 but last time they were full and I got 101...it was not an upgrade to say the least. The pizza from that Italian Cafe is really good, and CHEAP! I'm glad that place is there now...I had always has to pay like $18US to get a pizza in Negril and I think it was maybe $8US at the cafe?
Looking forward to hearing how the Jungle goes!

Day 2:
Last night was crazy good fun... too bad it left me with the worst headache of my life...
Woke up around 10 this morning because my mom called me yelling that i didn't call her (even though i did) after that i had no choice but to get up and get my day moving..i got dressed and headed to the nearest store to grab some Wata and shirley biscuits.. that was my breakfast/lunch i was still feeling queasy from last night
After eating 6 crackers and drinking half of the water i left to go walk the beach..not swim... i just wasnt up to it.. i did however walk pretty much the entire beach..
i walked so far i could see the other side clearly.. its was no longer just a blur.. i could see it with distinction
walking down the beach was an adventure of its own.. i was challenged with dozens of men offering themselves to me as my personal escorts down the beach..to my surprise the offers weren't just coming from Jamaican men ...ive never said no thank you so much... it definitely was a confidence boost
once i reached margaritaville i was summoned to the lifegaurd chair.. they remembered me and wanted to say hi.. we chatted for a little then i was off to continue down the beach...
finally i turned around... the walk felt like forever but i made it to alfreds, vinny called me over and we sat smoked some.. then i went over and said hi to Ronnie..smoke some more..then Pauly D arrived..hugged him and talked to him for a while... then we all sort of grouped together smoked some and chatted... i left alfreds around 3.. came back to my room and then went to westend..
once i got to west end i stopped at my grandmas..then i was off to jam-can to see nacka.. we talked for a while and then i went to ricks (well the other side of ricks) and hung out with Pauly D and Rick.. Pauly informed me that he had come looking for me at my hotel he even asked me if *** was my room number...i was a little concerned that the owner gave out my room number..anyways pauly d left then i just sat there..there was no sun to set =(
grabbed dinner from sweet spot..
chicken and chips =)
i decided to not go to alfreds for the show.. im going to get some sleep..watch the sun rise and actually eat a real breakfast.

Really enjoying your report! So missing Negril and this is really helping fill the void. Keep it coming!! Thanks for all the great pictures...after so many visits, I haven't brought my camera the past few trips. I now see that I may need to change that. I try to keep all the visions within now-days, but with age comes wisdom....well, sometimes LOL. Can't wait to hear more!
Ricardo! Whahappened to that kid he is a big dude now! Hangin out at the Jungle now.
