WE DID IT!! We just pushed the button!! We're going back to Jamaica!
Sorry for being M.I.A. these past few weeks. We lost a friend very close to us and we have been grieving this loss.
Thank you everyone that has reached out to offer their condolences, it meant a lot to us...
For a while I lost all interest in traveling to Negril... in doing anything really...I was just shuffling to work like a zombie, going through the motions and then curling up in bed to sleep as soon as I returned home... I was in a bad shape....
Yesterday, we realized more than ever that we really need to take this trip to Negril in April for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We're hoping that some time together in Jamaica will help us heal....
As luck would have it, we received an email notification this afternoon about a significant drop in ticket prices. So...after work we marched to the bank with our “iriebox”, deposited all the money we've been saving over the past months and then we actually did it! We pushed the button!! Our day has finally come!
FYI: For anyone planning a trip to Negril in April, NOW is the time to get that flight. 7-6 weeks before really IS “the sweet spot”. Sign up for email notifications from Yapta, Bing, Kayak and then keep a close eye on your inbox. Have your trigger finger ready because only a limited amount of seats will be available for that discounted price. Just grab it!
It's official, we're flying into Jamaica on April 19th and we're staying for 12 days!
12 DAYS!!!!!! – A dream come true! I have to pinch myself because I don't believe this is really happening! We've never stayed more than six nights – So this is really like 2 trips in 1 for us!
We decided life is too short and we're going to stretch this trip out. Make it really count. Plus we're planning on starting a family soon, so this will be our last trip ….for quite a while....
Can you imagine how long it would take us to write a trip report after a 12 day trip?? Probably a few years...at the rate we've been going. (Which reminds me...we haven't even finished our last one yet. So we'll post the rest of that trip report soon.)
We look forward to meeting some new boardies on this reach! Marley, Ralonzo, Booger, Brasi...everyone! We can't wait to see you! We're so excited about the boardie bus trip to YS falls and Pelican Bar!
PattySather and Joe Trinidad– Markus is already practicing his “manly man” poses
Negril here we come! Still can't believe it!
Just set up my countdown ticker (best feeling in the world!)
49 days to go!!
We just popped open two Red Stripes! It's officially time to do the happy dance....
We'll see you all in Jamaica!!
