Finally relaxing...just in time for sunset

Our Past Time is a neat little place. Many guests are repeats over and over and over. I can see why, they treat you like family and are very caring. It has a unigue location between Beaches Sandy Bay and Sandals. Right next door is a new complex of small shops and a bar and resturant called the Boardwalk. I'm not sure where their business comes from as Our Past Time has its own bar and resturant at better prices. We did wander over there for a pizza and of course shopping for trinkets. They must be a destination for some Cruiseship tours etc, because there were people there at various times and then they'd all get up and leave at once.

A short walk from our room to the beach

Mercy, that sounds like something that would happen to us!

The next morning we were still wound up and my wife decided I need coffee ASAP, so headed to the restuant and they were kind enough to set us up with a pot and cups and she brought it back for us to start the day on the patio. Flipped on the TV real quick, more habit than necessity, oh gee Whitney Houston dead....flip it off, no need to listen to that. Check phone, need to check daily for text from son. Old dog is a daily challenge and he may need advice. Sure enough, one text, answered and didn't hear from him the rest of the week. It was a relief having someone responsible there to watch him. He was ten when we got that dog and now he's been in the Air Force 10 years and is a dad also. That dog has been a big part of his life too.
Anyway, after some coffee, throw on some beach clothes and head over to get some breakfast. Take our time finally we can take some time and do nothing.
We aren't ready to take a big walk or anything, so grab the beach stuff and head down to a place we like to be where we can sun and not be bothered by much. Hardly any beach traffic or other sun bathers for that matter, quiet peaceful, you can hear the waves, beautiful.

Our spot. Taken on a previous trip, but still the same.

Not long after settling in, a dog wanders by, lame and very skinny. My wife gets upset by that. He's hanging but we have nothing to give him. Finally she digs a small hole in the sand, lines it with the ever present black plastic bag, pours some water in and he goes for it. He drank a whole bottle....then wanders off.

All I can say is WOW! Was the dog a black lab?
One Good Thing About Music, When It Hits You Feel No Pain!

SR, no. He looked like a mix of a bunch...as they all do down there. More like a mix of Shepard, Lab and something smaller. Her was a fawn color, and had a bad rear wheel.

The next day we decide after breakfast we will take a taxi about half way down the beach, stop at our favorite bar get a few rum punches, then wander back north to our spot.
We hit the road, flag a taxi, he says where to...hmmm, how about drop us off by Tree House. We stop in the shop there, I grab a big water for the walk and wife shops of course. Looking through swim wear....this? nah...smaller honey and so it goes, walk out with water.
Next stop is Sea Splash, we look for Natasha our most favorite bartender and best rum punch maker in the world. She's off..darn.
Well we're here, 2 rum punch. Look around, new bar, new deck, vibe of the place has changed. Not sure I'm into listening to US dance music when I'm in Jamaica. I think I understand what they want to do.....but...oh well, best of luck, God knows its tough to run any kind of business and make it work.
