after 4 straight years in negril , we along with other travellers, can say the tap water is without a doubt the best tasting water we have ever had , no need to buy bottled water, soon come

No kidding!! I make it a point to always ask for "pipe wata" when we go out to eat. Rarely do I buy bottled water unless I have to. If I do, I keep the bottles and refill with pipe water and stick them in the freezer to take when we hit the road or go snorkeling.

I buy one or two bottles of water & refill from the taps when in JA. When I'm at home I seldom use tap water but refill from bottled water refills I get at my local grocery store. JA water is better than home. An aside... what's really strange at home is that the water is OK, although I drink the bottled refills, but I have one sink in the master bath that smells funny. The other in the master bath is fine (on the other side, different water line), as are all the others in the house. I just prefer bottled water, even if a refill, when at home. So nice, that in JA, tap water is the best.

I believe that Negril still gets its water from a strong spring up on the west end
