Don't give up on Villa Sur - keep the faith.....beg if you have to (lol) for an exception if needed......I have been able to negotiate respectfully for some amazing deals. sometimes people are flexible and sometimes they aren't but never go only by what is on the internet (price, season, 3 day minimum). I see it as a starting point for dialouge. Email and converse back and forth or call for a personal touch.

....you might even go back to some of your "no can do" letters and see if they have any flexibility maybe for rooms a level up from your requested level for the ones that are not 100% booked for your dates.

OK had one more thought.....I know you want cliffs but if all else falls thru what about The Palms on the beach - it looks really nice.

Wow!!!! Thank you so much for all the great suggestions, We have so many amazing hotels to look into now! My hope is restored! You are all so wonderful, THANK YOU!!

Sweetness - Peter at Villa Sur Mer just wrote back to me! he was willing to forgo the 3 day minimum policy after reading my email, he seemed very enthusiastic about us celebrating our anniversary at his resort!

The only problem is the price he quoted us. Off Peak doesn't kick in until April 30th and we can only afford off peak prices. (and even THAT stretches our budget - but life is short & it's our 10 year anniversary,we'll just eat ramen over the next few weeks...ha!) I don't know if he'll be willing to work with us on the price... but I'm going to take your advice and ask him. I guess it never hurts to ask, right?
    ....or beg?? lol

Thank you again everyone for all your help, it means a lot to us.

Did you ask Milo at Banana Shout if he could make an exception-esp being your 10 yr anniversary...???

See what Xtabi has- their cliffside huts are pretty cool and not too spendy...

    Suzengrace - Actually I haven't - That's a good idea!!
My brain isn't on full capacity right now. I think I'm a little overwhelmed...

Markus just brought something else to my attention:

"So..you realize that we originally planned to leave the 29th...and now we're staying longer... so we have 2 more nights to figure out at the tail end of our trip too...."

    *smacks head onto computer screen*
planning a 12 day trip is a lot more complicated then I anticipated. This is the longest vacation we've ever taken!

Man, I'd make a terrible travel agent, you really wouldn't want to leave me in charge of booking accomodations for your trip.

I can see the trip report now: "5 Hotels in 12 Days - Clarity & Hubby-man fumble through Negril"

I'm confident that this will all work out in the end. I'm so happy that we're going to be in Negril for our anniversary. I still keep pinching myself because it doesn't seem real! Thanks everyone!
