Sea Grape Villas are cottages, so, yes, they have 2 bedrooms. My friend wrote a review for Trip Advisor about one of the villas. It was the villa that Bob Marley had stayed in. Somebody also mentioned Rhodes Hall. I think there is a combination of cliffs and beach there and also very good snorkeling. Point Village is also a really neat place. Love it there and also enjoy snorkeling there. Also, Seveen mentioned Tingalaya's. A couple years ago, on the "old board," there was a young couple, HB and Sunny D, who wrote an excellent trip report from there. Looked like a really neat place. Moonlight Villas (next to Pee Wee's) might also be a good option.

I am so excited that you are working with Villa Sur Mer - it looks amazing and many people get married there so it seems appropriate for your special days. (tip) Make your very best offer $$ on price and see what happens - don't just say the quoted rate is too high for your budget. I think this is the one for you guys if you can swing it.

for your last two nights can you just extend where you are? Too much moving around is exhausting as you guys know........but fun way to try different places.

Dang - I better get my trip together soon or every place is gonna be full!!!!!

Sending positive energy that all will fall perfectly into place for you two lovebirds

    I agree with Sweetness above

Peter Azar is very nice and I think he will work with you.
Make him an offer that you would be comfortable with and feel free to let him know that you visit the island as often as you can and that this will be a very special trip. You might want to add that you usually write trip reviews online after your stay and that you will also be looking around for places for your parents to stay for THEIR anniversary.....all of these things can benefit a property just as much as their willingenss to work with you on rates and days can benefit YOU!

Marley - LOL! I like how you roll, I should give him your email address: "Let me refer you to my friend, Marley, here, and she will explain to you why it would be to your benefit to make me an offer I can not refuse.."

I actually think I screwed it up. My bartering skills are very bad. I’m too timid and give up easily. You and Sweetness would just sigh and shake your heads if you saw the email I wrote him last night. He hasn’t responded. So I think It's safe to say we can cross Villa Sur Mer off my list of possibilities.

Sweetness - Although I have to say, Villa Sur Mer was the perfect suggestion. I didn't even know this place existed until you told me about it. It’s the IDEAL Honeymoon/Anniversary location. The cliffs, the underground cave, the waterfall pools, hot tub, and the individual villa surrounded by jungle. An absolute dream! I had fun just going through the pictures and fantasizing about it with Markus last night.

I’m adding it to my bucket list.

Maryanne – Thank you for the great suggestions – I’m going to look into them all today and send out some emails about availability. (Rhodes hall in particular looks really beautiful, also I have my eye on Tingalayas and Point village)

We’ve got six weeks, I know we’ll find the perfect place.
    Thanks everyone!

Did you try Sea Grape (if interested)? It would be very private it seems, and I know the Big Grape Villa was available when I checked, and was more affordable than the Sea grape Villa (even though its larger).

Miss Daisy - it is not too late for a follow up email....."I have not heard back from my email yesterday but I wanted to add that staying at your property is a dream of mine and I sincerely hope that we can work out an amicable arrangement." and adding some of the things Marley wrote will only help. Its from your heart so no one can fault that." Still holding out hope for this place.....sending up more positive energy - come on Peter smile on these lovebirds.......

Sure thing! Give me his email.
I have his phone number somewhere if I can find it.
I reached out a long time ago as I was originally planning a whole group of us to rent the property out for my 30th birthday (sadly that was a few years ago) it was before the renovations (which are awesome) but the rates were much lower then, but he called me several times and I remember him being quite helpful and eager to please.

No worries about your negotiation skills.....funny enough I am bad at it too when it comes to me, but I seem to be GREAT at doing it for others! Much like planning! Good at it for others, horrible at it for myself! Hahaha
