My first trips to jamaica beggining in 89 were those crazy party trips, that some how you survive when your young! Of cours at some point in time came along kids, so I had the usual space between trips until the money was there and the kids were out of diapers. The first time returning after a number of years was in 2000 with a stay at Boscubel Beach Club. The kids were four and seven, we had a great trip and it became our anual march break trip, we only missed two years which were 2002 and in 2003 we went to Cancun as there were direct flights from our small airport here. It was way to convenient! We stayed at at several Ai,s all around the island. Oh by the way the years we missed were with the addition of 2 more kids one in 02 and another in 04. Those ones have travelled in diapers to Jamaica several times, and I can say glad thats over, every one of my baby patience are long gone! So finally after years of AI stays I won and we stayed at a villa in Duncan,s Bay 4 years ago. If you ever get the chance to stay in a villa its a great experiance espeacially when travelling with kids. So this will be our fourth year with a stay at Silversands, but this year we are spending the first week in Negril! This will be the first year that the older two are not coming on the annual march break trip, so its a little different. And of course there have been several other annual trips added in the more recent years. So this will be a new adventure with a 7 and 9 year old, they love the beach and the pool which will keep them occupied most of the time, we may do a horseback ride thing, and maybe a return to YS falls its been a while since we have been there. Also I saw Scott from Discovery falls when i was there in Feb and he says he was getting ready to open up again, so we may try it out there, they have zip lines there as well. ( I dont do the horses or the ziplines, but they all enjoy it, I find the cold Redstripes while i wait!) This adventure will begin tommorow, as I will try and find enough patience to make it to Negril through all the long day of travel. Oh , and thats the other thing I like about the villa stay, it seems to be easier for me to escape without them noticing I am gone! lol
