I would think we're on board, or overboard, with this! Interesting judging criteria. Having grown up around pools and participated in many splash contests I can say that loudness and splash are somewhat at odds. REALLY loud bellywhackers don't usually generate the biggest splashes. Is it overall volume of the splash or height? The good old butt first jackknife is usually best for height of splash but is not very loud and doesn't displace a huge amount of water. Well executed cannonballs or buttercups can displace a lot of water but have the same noise fault... If we're trying to generate a wave that's a whole different conundrum... Hmmmmm... Decisions, decisions...
