Ohhhh so so beautiful!
Ohhhh so so beautiful!
Alfred was supposed to pick me up next Saturday from the airport, like he had done two times before and the thought of not seeing his smiling face as I exit the airport has me so upset. He was such a kind, genuine caring man with a laugh that I will always remember. He was like a big brother and always made sure he told me exactly how to handle anyone that gave me any troubles. His warm, welcoming and wise words always made my trips so enjoyable. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I will always think of Alfred on my trips to and from negril and will miss him terribly. Rest in peace My friend you have touched so many people there is a special place for you
The video is outstanding, beautifully done. I still just can't believe it, he touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.
My condolences to his family...RIP Alfred..Another senseless killing in Jam..

This is such sad news...
Markus and I were shocked when we read this
We did not have the opportunity to meet Alfred in person, but we've read so much about him here at Negril.com. He was loved by so many people.
Our prayers and condolences go out to his friends and his family.
Carpe Diem
I'm so very sad. RIP Alfred. Prayers to the family and all of his many many friends. You will missed so very much.
I'm just hearing about this. I did not know Mr. Barrett, but I am sure that for those of you who did, and his family this is a very sad loss. WHen pieces of Jamaica leave like this it is sad for all of us.
So sad to hear this--and it is so random and violent. Alfred was an upstanding Jamaican with good morals. It is terrible that his life was cut short just by being in the wrong place at the wrong moment. He shared a lot about himself with me in the ride from Mobay to Negril. He helped me navigate Megamart and insisted on pushing the cart for me. I told him to pick out something for himself in the store and he chose treats for his kids.
Crikey, this sure makes my heart hurt, Alfred was a lovely gentleman, bout my age I think - he drive me several times when I was in Negril in past days, to the store back & forth with groceries and from the airport back when it was 50 or 60 $ to fly from MoBay to Negril in them little planes, jeez this is sad news. My heart is truly with all his family and friends. So very weary of some people they want to solve every little disagreement with a gun, wow, and here comes Alfred without a mean bone in his body, just trying to walk in a door, my god...
Oh my gosh, I just read this. Such terribly sad news. I did not know Alfred, nor have I ever met him that I can recall. I do know, however, that he was loved by many whose opinions I hold high, so that tells me he must have been an incredible man.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and all who knew and loved him.
