The hardest part about going to JA is the airport, security, lines etc. When we were leaving Ja they do a random security check where the pull you aside and search. Guess who was picked? The lady from the JA TSA was very kind and understanding when we explained Stevie's situation. She let me be with him and was very quick and gentle. I have found the locals to be very kind. My husband and I have been going to Negril for 20 years, so we have made some very solid relationships. We have been bringing the kids to the Charela since they were very small. The staff there is amazing. We even bring special food for Stevie and they prpare it for us. From the wait staff to the housekeepers, they are top notch! The beach is very child friendly, lots of shade and beach toys.
I can't say enough about how much all of my kids thrive while in JA. It's not just the resort part they love either. We go to see friends who live a very sparse and simple life. They get to see that most people on this planet are not as fortunate as we are in the states. They see the sense of community and what is most important in life.
