Psychics in Negril?

I feel a bit silly asking this question, as I think most "psychics" anywhere are mainly BS artists...however, my mom has expressed interest in seeing a psychic while we are in Negril. No idea where she got this idea from, she has never been to a psychic here, or even talked about it before, but I said I would look for her. I have done a google search and searched the archives of the forum, to no avail. Anyone know of anybody? I realize we will be doing this just for fun though I do actually believe there are some people in this world that have some psychic abilities...just don't think most of the ones charging money for it are legit, but any leads would be greatly appreciated

While in Negril I stopped off at the local psychic witchy woman. In Negril they all call her "The Mother" She lives in this 4 story house made of sticks. There was a lot to see, the pictures I took there were great... This is the video I shot after my reading, dur*ing which time my cab driver Sheri had a hex removed... This house was truly most impressive to me. They were very under*standing with my curiosity and let me get some video... and it was one of the best readings I have ever had by the way... If you want to see her in Negril, ask your local cab driver if they know who "The Mother" is and they can set you up.

Yes I have heard of Mother. She is up by the light house and reads a glass of water. I have never tried her, however; the young lady who told me about her was convincing about Mother's abilities.

Interesting indeed, I might have to give a visit myself, to see the house would be worth the trip~ I think this was on Travel channel a few years ago, or one like it... can't imagine there's more than 1 but maybe... the one I saw a youngish Rasta man had built it by hand, by himself, I wondered also how they kept the rain out

Haven't gone to see a psychic but have gone to see a bush doctor who will also tell about the future and other things if asked. Good guy, interesting trip into the country. My aunt is a medicine woman in our community and was interested in the same in JA, so away we went to check out a medicine doctor in the bush! Intersting day.

ncgurl, if you dont mind me asking, how did you locate this bush doctor to visit?

I have asked a couple of tour guide/taxi drivers to include this kind of visit in a tour, but that part never happens.

In one of the well read forum trip reviews one member recounts a trip to what they called an Obeah on the West end.
On a trip to the North coast several years ago my wife sat for a reading by a woman. This woman told her things about her relationships with various family members, her work situation. Bet was very taken by the accuracy of the reading. My sister in law also got a reading and she also was taken aback by this persons reading.
I do not recall the woman's name.
