cell phone charges back to US?

hi-

if i rent/buy/borrow a local JA cell phone w/ calling card and call friends/family back in US, do they get hit with abnormal charges due to my incoming call?

Nope, they receive no charges to their phones unless they call you on the JA cell.

and the cost to call the USA via a digitcell phone prepay card is very cheap vs a hotel or USA foreign phone plan; perhaps 15-25 cents per minute depending on time call goes through. You can even drop this more if you buy their international prepay card, then it might be as low as perhaps 5 cents per minute or less but you only have 30 days to use it up then its gone; think these cards are 1000 JA plus selling fee so perhaps 1200 or so JA. Pretty cheap and I would strongly recommend especially if your other options are as noted above

LIME is offering 2 hours of cell to landline, USA or UK from JA for 200J....that's a little less than 2cents/minute, if my math is correct...
