Seastar Inn or Coco La Palm?

I just can't seem to make up my mind between the west end or the beach for our trip in June with our 21 year old son, 17 year old daughter and her friend. I think I have it narrowed down to these two hotels. The west end intrigues me and that is where we are staying in April for our trip without the kids. But I wonder if the younger ones would enjoy the beach more. But we can always get to the beach easily. Also, does anyone know if Seastar has connecting rooms? Thanks!!

For the kids, my vote goes to CCLP and the beach.

No connecting rooms that I am aware of at Seastar, but the balcony on room 2 has a has a privacy door that separates you from the balcony next door. (could be left open or unlocked)
I would think that the beach would be more appealing to the kids, but they can hop on the shuttle from Seastar and spend all day there.

I've stayed at CCLP many times, and visit the Seastar on Sat nights. I agree with the others that the kids would definitely like CCLP and the beach better!

For those who recommend CoCo, keep in mind that Seastar Inn is about half the price, and the extra savings can be used for lots of fun stuff ....

Thank you everyone for your opinions! I'm giving myself to the end of the day to decide. I've read a ton of great stuff about both hotels. I can get a pretty good deal at CCLP but the connecting rooms only have a small refrigerator whereas Seastar has at least a microwave, I believe. And the price is a lot less than CCLP. Whatever one I don't stay at this year, I will next time. : )
