Hey BreanaAshlee - don't be bitter. Travelling solo can have its benefits. I used to have a BF who wanted to travel - I came to the conclusion that he was a lousy travelling companion - too uptight & rigid. Not the way I want to expore the world. While he was in the hotel room sulking, I was out in the streets of Spain, Italy, Paris, Berlin - meeting people working on my pidgen Spanish, Italian, French & German (that alone is good comedy) and having a ball. At least when I go away by myself, I know what I am in for in terms of a companion. I can either be my own good company or not. Travelling solo forces me to interact more with my environment and the people I meet there. This goes for my "tourist" experiences as well as my little bit of international volunteer work. I have met people in Ghana and Jamaica who will probably be life long friends for me.

SO - if you are ever on the rock the same time as me, lets pull up a beach towel & hang out.

Peace.
