Have you been to Jamaica before? Negril? It helped me to make a few visits and research onsite and learn the runnings of things before I stayed for longer. You will want to be mindful of your immigration stamp also to ensure you are legal.

Many choices for long term stays depending on your budget $$. They range from rustic to rock star. It also depends on what amenities you require such as hot water, kitchen, AC, etc and what area of town you are most comfortable in.
