From the sounds of another thread St Anthony's Kitchen may need some help. See the thread "a little different trip report".

Here is a link on older post which gives some detail about St. Anthony's Kitchen and contact information.

I looked for an older post filed by one of the boardies (MissBlue) which had pictures and more volunteering info but my searches didn't yield same. Hopefully she will respond to this post.

A friend of mine that spends 3 months a year in Negril, volunteers at one of the local schools. She helps with reading skills and truly loves it. I don't really have a contact yet if you are really interested, I'll email her (she is currently in Negril) and find out for you. PM me if you need.

St. Anthony's Soup Kitchen is on the road out of town towards Sav. not far past the Taxi depot. Father Bok could advise you regarding any need they may have for volunteers or supplies.

Swisswhite, click on yetta's name and a menu will appear; the second option down is Private Message (pm)
It is sort of like sending her an email but it is on this board. She will get a notification that she has a private message and then she can reply. It is a way to chat with members without posting on the public forum.

If you have any other questions, just ask, we are a very helpful bunch (well, most of us) LOL

Here's the archived thread with contact info for volunteers, and some of my pictures and comments about the place.... it's a WONDERFUL service, and volunteering there is also a wonderful experience... it's enriching for both the community AND the volunteer.
