You know I just noticed on the negril onestop page, they have Hidden Paradise rooms starting at $55 a night, and they have this deal if you stay for seven nights you only pay for six, and I wonder if that would hold true if I stay for 14 nights to only pay for 12...if so, then that would make it $660 for the two weeks, not bad..
Try asking other hotels to honor this. It worked for me.
I'm going with Hidden Paradise..at $55 a night and then for every six nights I get the 7th free, so my cost for 14 nights is just $660.
I found the deals on travbuddy.com, a site that combines dozens of websites all in one -- you just plug in the dates. The good deals often come and go in a flash -- for instance, one day RIU Club is listed for 154 dollars, and the next day it's up to 350 .... You just never know, but some of the properties are the same price all the time ..... I checked for the dates April 21 to April 28 .....
I know Fun Holiday is pretty iffy... Looking at a sell off departing this Friday for 1 week - direct flight, tax in, $850 pp oceanview @ Fun Holiday AI vs $800 pp @ Rooms (same direct flight) - which would YOU choose?
Sigh, wish I could go on such short notice!
p.s. same charter company also showing The Oasis superior room for approx $670 pp (tax in) - I like being on the beach tho - but I'd go in a heartbeat to any of the 3, if I could!

If you weigh in trip reviews here and on TA, best be careful about Fun Holiday. There are some that are loyal to that property, but there are lots of complaints, too.
Yes, I've read good and bad reviews.... And looked at photos of the rooms online (not terribly appealing, and photos are usually better than in-person!). The good reviews did get me wondering about it when seeing this deal, $50 more with AI than Rooms.... could eat there once a day & have drinks here and there to get more than $50 worth over a week (and I'm NOT an AI person after my trip to Negril in Feb.!) Are the beach areas at Rooms & Fun Holiday equally good? Are the rooms at Rooms considerably better than Fun Holiday? Seems to me, I'd read a comment where someone suggested that maybe there are more instances of overbooking at Fun Holiday when not booked as a package deal.
Truthfully, both are not on my list of places I'd like to stay, much rather stay at a good boutique hotel. Just thinking it may be an inexpensive way to slip in an extra trip to Negril sometime when I can be more spontaneous. I realize though that a lousy hotel experience may not be worth the "deal". Unfortunately, my city has a small airport with not much selection (other than mega AIs) for packages, which in this case, saves a few hundred dollars, and it's a long flight with few direct flights (none after April for the summer)
To the best of my knowledge, the Rooms at rooms have been fairly recently renovated, and I do know the pool does look a lot more "sparkling clean" at Rooms too, but that could be just me..I would rather do Rooms than Fun Holiday, that's for sure..but am pretty happy with doing Hidden Paradise..
