9 days was not long enough!

Well I am back from 9 days at Catcha Gardens and it went by way too fast. No trip report this time around. Nothing too exciting to report really. I knew this trip I would spend most of my time relaxing and spending time with my hunny.

Went out a few times, but mostly just to places he was playing at. I liked staying on the West End. It took some time getting used to not knowing where things were, but after a few days it got easier. I never even went to the beach. We checked out PeeWee's and Bella Donna's a few nights and Seastar on Saturday. Went over to LTU once but I didn't care for it that much. The bartender was kind of rude. We walked up to Sir D’s for sunset 2 nights. It’s a nice chill spot to hang out and have a few drinks and not really be bothered.

Catcha Gardens was just the kind of place I was looking for. The staff was great and the rooms were as expected. The only thing I thought was strange is that the front gate stays locked at all times, so you have to use a key to get in and out every time you come or go. I know it’s for safety, but I don’t know how many times I had to walk someone out and find the key to open the gate, etc. It’s a small inconvenience but makes it feel a bit compound-ish?

Overall I had a really nice time. I’m now working on trying to go down for most of the summer. Since I might have the kids with me for a portion of that time I might have to find a cottage or something for the time they would be there, but I haven’t gotten that far yet. If not, I would stay at Catcha again. So now I'm on the hunt for June flights..at least I have something to look forward too!

Doesn't time just fly by when you are in Negril??? It's crazy how fast it goes. Catcha Gardens is a great place to just relax and chill. I love it there....and the staff rocks! Glad you had a great time. I'm really hoping to get in a summer trip but with a long winter trip on the schedule...gonna have to hope for some better prices for the flight. Right now, it is up over 200 pp than what we paid for our next winter trip. Hopefully, the prices will come down a bit...but it isn't looking good right now. Seems like when the deals are good in the summer, the flight prices increase. Oh well, just going to keep watching, watching............Good luck on your June trip. That is about the same time we want to visit.

I find that the longer I stay it's just that much more not enough.
Sounds like it was a relaxing time.

At least its not just me about the LTU thing, other than the chicken lola and the view, no reason to ever go back.

Catcha was nice, thanks for your advice on it before my trip. Wayne was awesome! He is the sweetest most caring person I have ever met. If there was anything you needed, he would do whatever he could to get it. I also noticed the summer air prices are a bit high this year...hopefully that works out for you!

So true...No matter how long you stay it's just as hard to leave in the end

Yeah, not impressed. I didn't eat there at all. There was a little place around the corner that sold box meals for $300J and were delicious...got food from them almost every day.

Do you remember the name of the little place around the corner with the box meals?

Will be that way soon and would love a place with good box meals close by
    Thanks!

Can't believe I stayed right next to Bella Donna's & never made it over there... did hear her sing (from my porch), and the lady has a beautiful voice! Supposed to be a nice place to get a meal & hang out. My stay was 10 days, pretty much perfect for me. Enough time to feel like I've had a vacation, but close enough to going home time so I don't go nuts missing the grandkids.... Sitting here on the porch now, with a Vietnamese Iced Coffee laced with some Rum Creme & enjoying the last hour here, trying to keep the tears from coming cause I hate to leave.... this country is absolutely amazing. Every time I come, there's always something new, something old, the atmosphere, the old friends, to me there is no where else like it on Earth. Oh boy, here come the tears....
