We always seem to forget every time we go that the airlines (Canadian). Tell and give us only one to fill out .there's a space provided that you can put spouse or kids, but you need a separate one for each person. Haven't lost the departure slip yet, what happens if you do?

One per HOUSEHOLD - also there is a trick question where its easy to check "resident" - over next to it is "visitor" so watch that.

Don't use red ink, either. My daughter is a teacher and had been grading papers and filled her form out with red ink ---- yep, they made her redo it.

If it's one per household, how do you need a separate one for each person?

Thank you Rambo... what a great thought! Smells & sounds are a great reminder of times in my life... in fact I have a lotion I've never used before that I am saving for my trip, that way when I get home I can put it on & think of JA (Bath & Bodyworks.. Dark Kisses) I will be sure & take it all in. If I could bottle it up for you, I would!

Also, thanks to everyone else for your help! I can walk w/o looking like a fool... cuz I know where I'm going!

You need one per person entering Jamaica. I followed a suggestion on TA to print off a blank form at home and fill it out with all our info. You could highlight the applicable questions as well. Then just have in your bag (along with your blue/black pen!). That way, all you have to do is copy your info onto the official form on the plane. You don't have to fumble through your passport and itinerary/other papers on the plane...in cramped quarters....and you may be tired and not as sharp as usual. I thought it worked great!

"The exchange rate there is significantly less than at cambios/banks elsewhere"

I thought the exchange at the airport was higher than at the cambios/banks?

It depends on which way you are converting whether you call it a lower or higher rate.

Since we are discussing people arriving in JA, people are exchanging their currency for $JA and GET a lower rate.
At cambios/banks, currently they give you about $84JA for each $1US you give them.
The airport cambio will be less - I don't know exactly now, but they will give you something like only $80JA for each $1US you give them.

But when leaving JA, people are turning in $JA for their home currency. You are right that then they have to PAY a higher rate.
At cambios/banks, you will have to give them about $87JA for them to give you $1US.
At the airport, you will have to give them something like $90JA or more for them to give you $1US.

How about we just call it a worse rate at the airport - accurate either way.
