It is an Ocean View room. It's not beachfront, but faces the direction of the beach. We normally went to bed at 11p, and never heard music at that hour. There were some very young children that were staying below us that woke us up with their crying time to time, though. That was kind of a pain. Most of the music in the surrounding area usually ended around 9 or 10p. I know that December is supposed to be a busier month, so I'm not sure if there was just more entertainment going on later because of that.

Ryan, I am considering Idle Awhile for what will be our second trip this coming fall. Were the crying kids waking you up because they were extra loud or because the walls were kind of thin? I am actually more concerned about our neighbors. I can sleep through almost anything, but have been known to get a little loud, especially on vacation. I prefer to stay somewhere were I am not worried to much about bothering folks.

It's just because there is no glass in the windows, just screens and the wood shutters. The kids were loud, and right below us. We heard them through the windows, not the floors. It was pretty quiet around the hotel at night. Not any loud partying, or anything. I'm not sure if people were out, or what. We were normally in bed by 11:30p, though, and up around 8a.
