    Re: Groupon Sandy Haven

Rob, perhaps you missed the following part of my reply earlier:

"If there is no such policy, the owners should be made aware that the person who is answering on their behalf, on the Groupon site, is also giving incorrect information regarding this subject."

I believe that the question is whether or not Sandy Haven has a "no outside food/drink" policy rather than disputing who the sign belongs to. One would expect a "no outside food/drink" policy to be enforced at a restaurant/bar; however many people would not expect that they could not take outside food or drink into a hotel, even when the hotel has a restaurant and or a bar....wouldn't expect to brown bag it while sitting in the restaurant, but would expect to eat offsite food in the common areas and my own room.

As mentioned above, please have the owners of Sandy Haven rectify what was posted on their Q & A section today. If they don't have that policy, an inaccuracy occurred in the answer given by their representative on their Groupon deal.

There is nothing improper about the next door property informing people that there is no food or drinks allowed. All that the property next door, Sun Beach, sells is food and drinks. That is their proper right as a business to not allow those that are not paying customers to not use their facilities.

I am not sure what your "fridge" comment has to do with anything. There is no sign that you somehow think there is, there is no policy against what you think there is, and as far as I know, other than a mini bar, I am not aware of any kitchen facilities/fridge in any of the rooms at Sandy Haven.

And as for any business, without revenue, any business would not exist.
Thanks for the business 101! LOL. So the sign does exist, and what you are saying is that it belongs to Sun Beach? You say "there is a sign on the right hand side of the Sandy Haven property" but yet you say "There is no sign that you somehow think there is". I'm confused. If it is Sun Beach's sign I stand corrected. My fridge reference was to actual hotel properties as we are talking about Sandy Haven. So can you clarify if they allow you to bring outside food and drink and place it in there in room fridges?
