Rob, perhaps you missed the following part of my reply earlier:

"If there is no such policy, the owners should be made aware that the person who is answering on their behalf, on the Groupon site, is also giving incorrect information regarding this subject."

I believe that the question is whether or not Sandy Haven has a "no outside food/drink" policy rather than disputing who the sign belongs to. One would expect a "no outside food/drink" policy to be enforced at a restaurant/bar; however many people would not expect that they could not take outside food or drink into a hotel, even when the hotel has a restaurant and or a bar....wouldn't expect to brown bag it while sitting in the restaurant, but would expect to eat offsite food in the common areas and my own room.

As mentioned above, please have the owners of Sandy Haven rectify what was posted on their Q & A section today. If they don't have that policy, an inaccuracy occurred in the answer given by their representative on their Groupon deal.
