    Public Lap Pool Negril?

    Hello,

I'm excited to be visiting Negril for the first time this July! I am currently training for a swim competition and I need to find a 25yard (or longer) lap pool to practice in during my week long stay. I can swim in the Sea too, but I think it might be a little warm for the types of workouts that I'm doing. I am also a little concerned about 'sea bather's eruption'.

Are there any public lap pools in Negil? Or any hotels that sell day passes to thier hotel pools, our hotel has a pool, but it's not a lap pool. I'd be grateful for any information you might have.

    Best,

    Elaine

    Elaine:

This is a picture of the biggest lap pool I could find in Negril. And, it's right on the beach! I can't imagine a better place to train for a swimming competition than in the ocean itself. That way you can make the laps as long as you desire. In 22 years of visiting Negril, I have never had any problem with 'sea bather's eruption.'

    Enjoy your trip!

Couples Swept Away has a lap pool. A nice one. Along with thier guests I believe Idle Awhile guests can use it. Not sure about day passes for people staying elsewhere.

in July the sea water will be plenty warm enough for all the swimming you'll want to do, no problem.
You can do laps from floats to floats at many beach front locations(roped off areas)
