I always try to put in a good word for friends - especially if they do good work! Sandy May took honeymoon shots for my daughter & her husband when they were in Negril. She does lovely work and is a good resource.

Congratulations, and you have chosen THE destination for weddings! My husband and I got married in Negril in Dec. 2010. At the Seastar Inn. Chris and Francine did an oh-so-marvelous job! She made my bouquet, which was spectacular. It was just wonderful! For my money, contact them. They have packages for weddings. They have an awesome photographer. It's like getting married in your own backyard! Don't when you are planning this for, but make sure the bride takes Jamaica into consideration when she buys her dress! What might be great for Dec in Montreal is gonna be tooo hot in Jam. And enjoy the day!

    A taste of our daughters

    http://www.mydeo.com/videorequest.as...789&CID=229270

We subsidized room and air for some guest and our daughter got her dress and the wedding party dresses on the internet, groomsmen shirts were made local at an affordable price. I was told that the week trip was less for a bridesmaid than hotel/dres/etc cost them to be in a wedding in the states.

Reverand Hylton from Sav took care of license pre and post ceremony and delivery to states after registering in Kingston.

We pretty well took every room in a property for a week and got comfortable group off season rates.

We provided dinner 1st full day in, in laws rehearshal night 2nd full day in and then wedding reception, so by their 4th day all of the guest were pretty acclimated to Negril.

I took over a restaurant for the night with a 3 plate per course 4 courses dinner, I felt that the only way to do it was set the menu ahead of time so that there was no ordering confusion, additionaly guest could move from table to table for each course, I made sure to have ital for Jamaican guest and went a little less fish for American pallets. By doing a per guest rate we could calculate tip into total bill and not have to worry about guest orders, bring plates - remove plates each course allowed for gentle flow for service staff.

We brought in bar, I paid bartender and extra security.

I rented a sound system and used my computer as a source.

Tropical Fantasy did flowers, local friend did cake, Coleen has the photographers name.

We rented a room and a friend brought in hair and nail ladies from an AI for wedding party day of ceremony pampering.

Emma came to the property and did jewelery on day of ceremony.

My best investment was 500 feet of cat 5 cable I got from the former Irie Vibes Restaurant at Rondel, added to routers I brought from home this allowed Rob to do a live cast. Friends and family at home could join us, we could talk to camera during reception and they could type back.

    Memorable event.
I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
