Some nastiness! I puked on one this week and that is rare, really rare. I know I didn't answer your question, but I did want to make sure you knew they should be called the Bob Gnarly shot instead.

    I found this....

1 oz. Creme de Menthe, green
    1/2 oz. Liqueur, banana
    1/2 oz. Rum, overproof/151 proof
    1 oz. Grenadine
    Mixing Instructions
The true Bob Marley is grenadine at the bottom, creme de menthe in the middle, and 151 plus creme de banana, so it makes the red, green and yellow... Light it on fire, stick a straw down to the bottom and finish it!

And drink fast or the straw will melt and everyone will make fun of you for not finishing. Nice work Lorax

LMAO .......I knew you were going to comment on this one, booger!
Lol you puked twice on that one shot....then you came and told Sandie and I about it....really close to our faces
    lol
I was going to comment also until i realized I didn't know what was in them either
but if you order one at Ivans they top it with overproof and light it on fire and make you drink it fast with a straw
    Its definitely a harsh shot

    ahhhhhhhhh memories

Finally tried one after 20 plus trips to Jamaica.....the creme da menthe was what tasted the worst to me! Have learned over the years that shots are definitely NOT my drink. But, for the rest of you............drink on...........I'll just stick to rum and coke....or ting and vodka. That I can handle.

I've never had one, we're coming to Negril in June to get married, trying to have a Jamaican themed bachelorette party and thought these would be fun, on second thought.....maybe not so fun? Does anyone have suggestions besides rum punch and red stripes that we can add to the mix? Suggestions are welcome, we don't want any pukers!

I think it is an individual thing. The "puke factor" may also depend on the quantity and type of alcohol already consumed prior to the Bob Marley shot. I drank one on a "suggestion" from a local friend while having dinner on the beach. It wasn't so bad, the pressure of having to drink it before the straw melted did add a measure of excitement and afterwards I was infused with a warm, tingly feeling...

I will never, EVER, NEVER AGAIN have one. They are disgusting and will knock you on your a**! It was hands-down one of the worst decisions I've ever made lol!

Yea....Bob Marley shots...not great...it's just for show ;-) if you decide to do them take boogers advice about the straw... This drink is not "Jamaican" it originated in the Virgin Islands but it is good and it will get you there:-)

    PAIN KILLER

2-4 oz. of Pusser's Rum (or Appleton)
    4 oz. pineapple juice
    1 oz. cream of coconut
    1 oz. orange juice
    Grated fresh nutmeg

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add first four ingredients and stir. Pour into cocktail glasses and top with grated nutmeg.
