    I'm home- Trip bittersweet

Thursday, April 19th- Headed out for an adventure, ended up in Port Antionio. Stopped along the way chatting and eating, so relaxing and beautiful. Checked into Goblin Hill, (with post photo's later). I remember staying," I can't wait to wake up in the morning:", make my coffee and go sit on the hill overlooking Fisherman's Cove, Alligator Head in my PJ's, so much peace I am feeling at this time. Out and about Boston Bay, late in the afternoon we are deep in the topical trails leading to Moore Town. At this point my phone is only getting calls from Private Caller, I answer no connection, no texts, damn phone! So, I have it with me for pictures. Out of the blue a clear message from my Daughter, "How's it going", I reply with everything wonderful I have been doing, Her reply "Can you call me?"... Oh,no, I get nervous, I know something is wrong. She tells me my niece who is her age 31, fell at a party and the next morning was unresponsive. She is brain dead. She was a organ donor and all organs will able to be used. How life throws us off track. Her boyfriend was charged with manslaugher, she had been off the wrong road for sometime. My family is glad I'm in Jamaica, seems this land of hardship and beauty has again embraced that life is for living to it's fullest and in the right way. Sorry, I missed meeting all of you. Glad I met Brasi, Patty & Andy, GerryG & Tattoo. Great people who get the wonders of Jamaica. Later with a more upbeat trip report. I feel Blessed!

Condolences Juli, sorry we missed you. We stopped in at HSH the morning of the Magic Bus but no one was up and about. Hope the trip gave you what you needed.

    Juli,
My heart hurts for you. So so sorry for your loss. Your niece's spirit will certainly live on in the many lives of those she helped. How wonderful it is that even in death, she was able to give so many others the precious gift of life. My 3 1/2 yr old nephew, Brady, was blessed to receive the gift of a heart 2 yrs ago, from an 18 month old donor. We are forever grateful to his donor's family for making that heartbreaking and selfless decision to donate her organs to someone in need, while at the same time their own hearts were so shattered.
