Re: Booger, Peanut Butter(Pooper) & Jon's Good Times Trip
Ride to LAX
We had to pull out the big Red Stripes to get this one started. Odd thing is I have yet to see these big bottles in Jamaica. This time I took a big empty tea jug just in case we needed to take a biological break.
Our last trip I was dying to go and had to take drastic measures. The ride to the airport was uneventful and soon enough we were boarding our plane, with a pretty solid buzz to boot. Now it's time for the chill pills as I have mentioned before we both struggle with flying now due to our previous occupations.
If you do not have a mileage card, yet charge a lot I would encourage you to get one if you like to travel. We flew first class both ways due to our mileage which as far as I'm concerned is the only way to go. I cannot sleep in a coach seat, EVER!
I knocked out as soon as my arse hit the seat and barely remember the layover, both which are good things. Next thing you know we see the water out the window. Finally we have made it back........

We blew thru immigration and customs in record time and as soon as we hit the little waiting area outside Kingsley James our driver showed up and off we were. First stop was for beers of course, second Bigga's to introduce Jon to some killer jerk, and third to Banmark to exchange and get some J's. One more stop at Wise Choice for more beers and snacks and as we were loading up a familiar looking guy scoots by headed towards Seastar. GERRRRRRRY I shouted hoping he would hear me over the noise of his scooter. Sure enough he flipped a u turn and I met my first boardie already of the trip and we hadn't even hit the hotel yet. Gerry is the Mighty Californian and his exploits are well documented and it was cool to meet him. We live about 50 miles from each other, yet it took us both making a trip to Negril to finally meet.
When we showed up at Seastar is was a little after noon and only our room was ready, which is to be expected as it was a couple hours before check in. We had packed swimsuits just in case our rooms were not ready, but ours was good to go and it was time to check out the room. My first impression was WOW! How can this room be this nice for so little money relative to the other places around? The pictures on the website do not do the room justice.

On a side note, thanks Gerry for getting me primed for my Negril vibe. While I was handling my business Jon took a seat on the balcony so he could soak it all in. The dude is in town for 30 minutes and has already chilled out and is in the groove of things. Unreal!
