Depends the time of year you go, I think. We were there in Summer last year, and it went about 10h30, dropped you where you wanted to be dropped. Because it was off season, they were loose about the time, but during high season it's a bit more fixed. We chose Cosmos for drop off (love that place) and walked back down the beach. Had no clue how hot it would be in summer, so took a taxi back way earlier than planned. They would have come to pick us up if we had called, we found out. But again, that was summer. When we were there the previous winter, the drop off was 10h30ish and the pick up around 16h00-16h30 pm. Taxi to or from Cosmos, abaout $1000 JA; from mid-beach, about $700 JA (Seastar being the opposite drop off/pick up).

(Now my BFF's will tell me different, I am sure).

You can be dropped anywhere on the beach. Your choice.
Sometimes; if you're going to Margaritaville, Seastar calls the Margaritaville bus to pick you up. It's a hoot. A 1960 British Leyland former Kingston City bus all painted in wild island colours.
It runs roughly 10:30 pickup and 4:30 return.
That spot has lifeguards etc. but is very touristy and attracts cruise ship daytrippers etc.
But Seastar will make sure you get to where you want to go even in high season and will pick you up.

The Seastar shuttle departs at 11:00 and picks up at 4:00. If you do not have a place that you want to be dropped off, the usual location is Sun Beach. The shuttle times and locations are flexible depending on how busy they are and how many people are on the shuttle.

    This is a free shuttle.
