Paradise at 31 dollars a night? Not a bad deal...You review reminds me of many spots in Jamaica that are not quite complete, but could be really nice with a few bucks...Sounds like the owner needs a partner... Ya never know who may be influenced by an honest report like yours. Who knows, the next Jim Hurt may have read this! Kudo's on keeping it real!

At $31 a night soumds like a good deal, reaqlly think about what you would get anywhere in north america for that. Sounds like a fair review to me.

Great review! For that price, sounds like quite a deal. I appreciate reviews of "roads less traveled"...sometimes money can be tight and options limited, so, it is good to know about ALL options. Thanks for enlightening all of us. There are many times that it is worth the sacrifice just to be able to be in Negril for a few weeks, especially for many that are only in their room to sleep.

No kidding...that wouldn't even get you an Econo Lodge or Motel 6..(I would stay at neither). Maybe a tent? Some people's expectations are just too high...I mean seriously, you book a hotel for $30 something a night...I would be happy to get a bed and running water...everything after that would be a bonus

Im heading down this sunday and staying at Caribbean Sunset for 3 ngts. Ive been there b4 and I think I might have written up a review at one time. Its one of my favorite "get out of the fast lane" places to stay. I love having the grocery store and digicel right down the hill. Glad to see your review. I realize its not the place for everyone but maybe more for the people that want a good deal and dont really hang by their room much. I think my room is averaging $14ngt. with the package I bought. And I did spend a great amount of time on the patio in the morning or overlooking town by the pool area. As you can tell, Im getting excited to catch that plane!

Everyone has differnet expectations for their vacation. I for one, appreciate this review. It sounds like a decent place to stay if it's all you can afford. I was blessed to be able to stay in a beautiful cottage at Catcha on my last trip....but my next trip will most likely be on a seriously tight budget, and I will definately keep this in mind. SOunds like a really different experience.....and perfectly adequate for the rates.

Ya, I don't think it sounds too bad, either, if you get a good unit ..... Not krazy about the steep walk of ANY duration, tho, lol .....

Hi Kirt....I enjoyed meeting you and am glad that you posted your view of the place..puts it in a different light. I am sure that the view from atop the hill is killer and you are close to the action and necessities..... and most important it allowed you to return to jamaica and negril and thats always a good thing.
