We stayed there our first time to Negril in 1986. It was called Villas Negril. Great staff, great place, great memories! They had bands, great food and a very busy bar.. Nothing stays the same.
I appreciate your honest review- doesn't sound that bad-esp for a low-budget place...And I agree with you travel mindset/philosophy...

Nice review. I could not even get a plane ticket for the total price you paid. Way to go!!~

I'm with Seveen in the sense that if I saw black mold it would have me running from a place also...no matter what the price!
To each his own...
Hey Spub/Kirt...cya around again soon!![]()
Sounds like a place i would stay to save money. I am also a white sands guy i think it is the best place for the money on the beach. I have my 4th trip already booked for next year.
I didnt actual sleep there...but I did check in for a few hours and while I myself am low budget (and even a tent gyal outside of JA) I was extremely uncomfortable with the place. It seemed unclean and unsafe for a solo female, gave me the heebie jeebies so I moved on. As mentioned, different strokes. One thing for sure, the staff was very, very nice and helpful.
