This is the property that people who book w/ "Negril Beach Club Resort" (aka Beach Club, Negril Beach Club, or Mariner's Negril Beach Club "back in the day") get bumped to for their stay when they booked for the beach (common overbooking practice, esp. during high season). I can't imagine the property being well-booked for any other reason. The owner puts few $$$ into either property as this report affirms (few = zero, zip, nada).

That said, I'm glad to see this report but still surprised it's as positive as it is. I'll attribute that to direct booking there vs. being bumped to that property. When that has happened, I've heard (when in Negril) nothing but disappointment from folks staying there. Hey... if I expected the beach & ended up in town, I'd be P.O.'d too.

Overall, this is the nicest report I've read on this property for some time. Thanks for your candor. I'm glad you had a good experience. It sounds like a reasonable bargain trip to Negril.
