    Best Seaside Cottage at Xtabi?

For our second trip to Negril, we are going to say up on the cliffs for a couple of nights. We've decided on one of the Seaside Cottages at Xtabi, but haven't made reservations yet. Does anyone that's stayed there like one of the cottages better than another, or are they all pretty comparable?

Bigger, more privacy. I'd stay in any of them but #1 and #4 are definitely the favourites.

We stayed in the one on the other side of the restaurant, can't remember the number without looking, but it was much cheaper, and we absolutely loved it. seems very private, great view of the jumping cliff, and the little beach below the room is great entry and exit for snorkeling, or just sitting and enjoying the water.

I think No. 4 is the most photographed hotel room in Negril .....

We just spent 6 nights in #4 and it was awesome! I would definitely stay there again. The main floor has an outdoor shower, living area, kitchenette, fridge and a large balcony cliff side. The loft has a king size bed and a second bathroom. And I did take a few pictures, lol.

wpyogi - I've booked #4 for a few days mid-April 2013. I'm wondering if you have any tips regarding the cottage? I'm wondering how warm it gets inside in April, did you find it had good cross ventilation? What about the upstairs bedroom, is there any opening windows, was it quite hot? I saw your comment about the LOUD fan in the bedroom!

    Thanks!

Cottage 4 is our favorite and have stayed in it twice. We have been inside of #1 and the thing I did not like was the stair ladder to the bedroom/loft. #4 has a regular staircase and a huge outdoor nudie shower. Also, there is shade area on the deck and in my opinion it is larger. Just my opinion.

Hey Melody- Yay! You will have a great time in #4. I never thought it was too hot inside the cottage. #4 has great ventilation. A few mornings, I would sit out on the deck and read...........and cook, lol! All I had to do to cool off was grab a glass of water and hang out in the living area for a few minutes. Yes, the fan upstairs can be LOUD when it is on high. It is a high powered fan to say the least. The particular night in question when I noticed how loud the fan was involved a lot of partying which left me incapable of getting out of bed in the middle of the night to turn it down, LOL. It didn't wake me up any of the other 5 nights we stayed there.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The staff takes excellent care of you. A few shout outs to Sharon, Omar P., Omar S., Dwight and Kevin. Thanks for the reminder, btw. I need to book April 2013 as well
