Seastar Inn- Need Info!

Hey, all you Jamaica lovin' peeps!

I am heading to Negril at the end of the year. First timer. I know, I know-- once you go you know!!! I've already reserved 9 nights on the beach but, after reading so many wonderful things about Negril on this forum, I've decided to try and extend my stay to spend a few nights away from the beach. I'm looking at the Seastar and most of their rooms are already booked-- the only ones available are 17 and 19. But I'm a bit worried since they're the only ones that haven't been booked.

Has anyone had any experience with these rooms? The Website doesn't say much at all. I've read great things about the property-- it's the rooms I'm concerned about!

Any bit of info would be helpful!!!

What are your dates? I just booked those two rooms today right after new years. They are currently being built right off of the pool and are lower level with King beds. They will be fairly new when you get into town and I'm certain will be nice. I stayed in room 3 a couple of weeks ago and it is approx 450 sq ft with a really great bed. It's my understanding that the new rooms will be similar to rooms 1-9.

Thanks, Booger! I'm staying from Dec. 21-29, but trying to extend the stay to include Seastar from Dec. 29-Jan. 1.

I saw many posts about the new rooms being built but didn't realize that THESE were the rooms! I suspect they'll be nice...but no sleep for a few days since they're right off the pool and it's New Year's!!?? I'm a light sleeper and usually need a decent sleep but perhaps I can exception if it means staying in Negril for New Year's!

Sleep should be no issue. The rooms are concrete and not much gets in. I had zero issues with noise in room 3 which is close to the bar area and I am a light sleeper. You better book quick as these things will fill up quick.....

I'll be there from Dec. 29-Jan. 2. SO excited and I can't wait to see the Saturday show!

Now I need to watch the airlines daily and try to get a decent rate when I change my airline reservation.

I know you're a boardie and have seen your posts on various threads. A big thanks to you guys for helping us newbies with your insight!

they are on the other side of the pool so I would imagine it will be quite quiet on that side.................
