Might as well start one..August 2012 ROLL CALL!

Yah, I feel in love with Negril at first sight, lol, so for me the name fits, and I plan on moving there next year, or at the very least spending the maximum 180days allowed without being approved for permanent residency, which, depending upon how things go when I get there, I will be applying for.

Travellers Beach Resort is near the river and easy walking distance to downtown Negril, and is Jamaican owned and they are very supportive of and helpful to the local community as well. I have spent many a day hanging out there when I wasn't staying there, and am looking forward to my stay.

That is another reason I'm relieved that I don't have to depend upon Sandals to switch me to another resort of their choosing now that they are closing Grand Pineapple down, what if they shipped me to Ocho Rios or Montego Bay and then I had to try and find a way to Negril for my next two weeks at Travellers after that? As it is, now I don't have to worry about more than taking a short taxi ride when my stay at Sunset At The Palms with my friend is done.

And I just know you will love Negril, it is my favorite place on earth!

Okay, there is a change in my itinerary, screw Sandals inc. I'm going to be staying at Sunset At The Palms from August 10th to 18th!

wow .... that is HUGE news .... I just toured the property on way out of Negril w Clives pickup -- very five-star-ish .....

Yah, I can't believe I got lucky with SATP, and was able to get it switched from the former reservation at Grand Pineapple since they will be closed. I just feel bad for travelers that aren't going to find out until probably right when their plane lands that they have been moved to another Sandals property..I'm so glad I don't have to go to any Sandals resort at all, because the way I feel, I'm more than done with them, lol!

getting closer and closer 17 days till I arrive in mbay. I have been geeked out reading threads on this board as well as a few others for the last week trying to prepare for the trip on what to do and not to, what to bring with me, ect.... I think I am now more excited then ever to get this much needed vacation started.
