This is a real bum deal. I was involved in a couple of hotel deals many years ago and the rule was you didn't take possession and invest money until everything was signed. I really hope the best for Jim and his partner as this property has been withering and was coming back to a new life with their drive and enthusiasm to make it work.

Markus and I are grateful that we had the opportunity to get to know you and spend time with you during our stay. We had so much fun! You made Seasplash feel like a second home to us. I'll never forget that.
I just want you to know that I really hope things get resolved in some way, I’m really sorry this happened to you! You and Ted really built up Seasplash and gave it a new life & energy. I second what others have already said, we won’t have anything to do with Seasplash in your absence.

Jim, I agree with what both Clarity and Guirigay (and many others) have said.
This seems so wrong.....I sure hope it gets sorted out soon. You have done so much for that place, and it is awesome.
I was really looking forward to staying there in the future.....and this cliff girl never says that about the beach!

It's been Paradise Sea Splash on the net all along. I did the search back when the livingsocial deal was on. Emails bounced back from the address on the site.
So sorry to hear about your predicament Jim. If there's anything we on this board can do to help, please let us know. It was great meeting you last week and I was looking forward to bringing a bunch of our friends down and staying at Sea Splash in the future, but the way things are turning out, we will probably stay somewhere else. This crap that they are pulling on you is a shame ...
Wow! I was happy to see that Sea Splash was making a comeback with the "new owners". This is disappointing to hear.
They are probably worried about losing their vacation money and/or the vacation itself. Most of these people have never met Jim nor his partner. They have come on this site specifically for information. It is only normal to expect them to be more worried about their vouchers. Which is understandable.
^^ I think some of us are mentioning it in the same breath because we ARE compassionate. In my case I was really looking forward to meeting Jim and staying at SeaSplash and am so dissappointed that this has happened. I am no longer excited about going and now I am conflicted with the fact that I have dished out money to stay at a hotel that is allegedly run by a slimy thief vs a fun loving host. I know that I do not know all of the details and there are two sides to the story but this is the picture that has been painted so it is my current feeling. I am dissapointed that Jim may not be there. I am dissapointed (not surprised) that someone would do this to a good person. Just because people are worried about money that they have already dished out and are now trying to work out the decision to lose that money based on principal does not mean they don't feel for others. It is truly a disspointing and complicated situation for everyone who is already booked. Put yourself in our shoes for a minute and I think you will understand. I really hope Jim wins this fight.
