Dave - I wish I was able to chat with you and Cindy Lou more that evening. As Clarity mentioned, the night became quite the blur for me!

@kim&betty.....That is all true, but it was Jim "This is the END" Morrison...LOL. Not the greatest of his writings either, but I found it interesting. He was facing jail time after the obscenity charges in Florida. Guess clear blue seas doesn't help much when you could be going to prison for a while.

Dave has plans for the day...plans and a goal to achieve...These are...Breakfast, make reservations for dinner at Catcha Falling Star, and walk to Cosmo's for lunch...without getting wet...
The latter will be the hardest to achieve because in all the years Dave has been walking the beach to eat lunch at Cosmo's, he has never done it without getting rained on...ever.
"This will be the day, the year, that things will change" he tells his wife...She just smiles and says..."yea right"...she knows.
It's not that rain is a bad thing thinks Dave, in fact in Jamaica it's a good thing cooling things off, slowing things down, and greening things up...He just wants to go on a nice sunny walk, have some curried octopus and a few beers, and walk back enjoying all that the beach has to offer...yea right.

Off to breakfast...check the sky...aware of his surroundings...are things preparing for rain?

Breakfast...Ackee and salt fish and a fruit plate...




Things are preparing for a sunny day...Lizards are basking



Flowers are blooming...




The sky looks OK :-) ...

After breakfast Dave's wife takes a look out toward the beach..."looks OK" she says...
Dave heads back to the room to call for dinner reservations..."5:30, yes no problem. Your table will be ready"...nothing ever seems to be a problem at Catcha...things are looking up. :-)



After a little chillin' on the beach, it's time to attempt the impossible...
walking up the beach, past Coco, Sandy Haven, Sun Beach....Treehouse, then Seasplash...."Time for a walking beer, lets stop here" said Dave. His wife has no objection...The walking beer turned into a sitting beer, chillin' at the bar checking things out...the weather was still...ok...




Back on the path...it's looking a little cloudy when they arrive at Cosmo's




Drinks are ordered...food is ordered (curried octopus)... Dave forgets to take a picture of the food, this will be a recurring theme...
Then...the skies open up...Dave thinks this is great...He is under the thatch roof and dry, for now...



After a great lunch Dave plans his escape...a mad dash down the beach, south to Idle Awhile...it's not raining for now...

The next photos would be taken by Dave back at the room...This is because his camera is not waterproof, and had to stay in his sling pack ALL the way back...
Dave got wet...Cindy too....and it was fun, like it always is when they go to Cosmo's...Why break tradition ?
Time to dry off, light a fire, listen to some tunes...relax

OK...So, Catcha is tonight...Dave made the reservations for two reasons...One is because he and his wife really like Catcha Falling Star and Ivan's...The other is to make up for last year when he made plans for a nice dinner at Ivan's (which they had) but instead of the evening being remembered as "The nice dinner we had at Catcha" it is known as "The evening of bad judgement" or "Fun with cake"....last year, after a nice lunch at Jenny's of curried goat, red stripes, and some chocolate cake (brought back to the room because we were full)...Hanging out at our room, chilling, having some rum & tings...the cake started to look good to Dave...hence the "bad judgement" :-)
By the time Dave and his wife made it to Ivan's for the nice dinner things were getting a little fuzzy. Dave thinks to himself "when you are gettin' fuzzy, does that affect your ability to focus?" Here are a couple of pics from that night.
