Arrived in Negril late afternoon last Monday so no trip to town to change $$, shop, etc. Off I go Tuesday a.m. Already topped up my phone via the internet, set up my international calling plan, now to get my wireless set up. Had some problem w/ the USB modem... defective. A new one solved that problem. Because I already have an account w/ Digicel, registration was pretty easy... the wireless service connected to my existing account. The USB modem cost $3688J (42.88US), all inclusive. I planned to buy time for use after the 72 hour free use so also did that online. I'm set for my entire stay here. $3750 (43.60) I had to activate the month plan after the 72 hours but had been shown how to do it. I alctually remembered! Works well but you have to be close to/on your balcony/patio. Today is my first time on the balcony. Usually use it perched near the sliding glass doors when I get up in the a.m. Now that I have my initial investment in the USB modem, I'm good for every trip from now on. I'll top up online before I head to Negril & activate it once I'm there... just like my phone.
